Welcome to 2012 lovely readers! Boy, was 2011 a big year for our little blog. Not only did we start up Love Wed Bliss last April (we’re haven’t even had our first birthday yet!), but we were also were priviledged to feature an eclectic mix of beautiful weddings, romantic memories and breathtaking inspiration for brides-to-be worldwide. So, as tribute to all the talented designers, photographers and gorgeous couples who shared they’re lives with us, we thought it appropriate to reflect on our first fantastic year by sharing our favourite posts from 2011. Naturally we should begin from our own home base – so here our our top 3 favourite Australian weddings featured on LWB in 2011 proving that Aussies are right up there in the wedding stakes when it comes to amazing wedding style!
South Coast Modern Wedding
For our first real wedding from Australia we head down to the South Coast of NSW to a picture perfect little town near Canberra. This amazing modern wedding perfectly photographed by Pobke Photography this amazing affair boasted spectacular soft lighting, stunning coastal scenery, a shimmering wedding dress and pretty pastel blooms (just to name a few of the perfections) . Nothing more to say really than exhale a long ‘sigh.’
Byron Bay Vintage Inspired Wedding
Also, right up there on my ‘best of’ list is this stunning Byron Bay wedding captured by Bushturkey Studio. It featured so many gorgeous and personalised vintage details from start to finish and a Johanna Johnson wedding gown no less . . . it just made our hearts melt.
Whimsical Sydney Wedding
Last, but by no means least, was this fantastic Sydney wedding by Sugar Love Weddings. This awesome whimsical bash was the epitome of modern style with vibrant pops of citrus yellow against a black and white palette, a delightful bride in the cutest short tulle wedding dress you ever laid on eyes on, and gorgeous wedding decorations to make you drool!
We’d love to know which is your favourite? Also, be sure to share with us any other real weddings from Australia which captured your hearts. Drop by again tomorrow when I share with you our favourite wedding ideas from 2011!
