I have to say I take my hat off to this bride. She is a DIY natural, who has crafted the loveliest of soirees brimming with oh-so-pretty details and breathtaking blooms, you’ll want to ensure you relish each one. It’s rustic elegance meets country glam for this darling Washington DC event. With a coral and white color palette, splashes of burlap and cute-to-boot button accents – it’s more than gorgeous! All captured beautifully by the swoon-worthy talents of Kat Sky Photography. Not much more I can add friends, except for ‘go ahead and lap up all the loveliness!’
From the photographer:
I had the time of my life photographing these two. I’ve known them since college… actually I didn’t really know them individually, only as a couple. Which is why it was kind of surreal being their wedding photographer. It meant that we were all really grown ups now and at least 2 years out of college. And they chose me to be the one to capture the most special day of their life.
We weren’t in our college bubble anymore, this was real life and they were finally getting married! Their friends and family have been waiting for this for a long time. And the day finally came and it was a very big celebration!
Lots of tears, lots of smiles, and enough cake and beer to keep everyone satisfied. Even though I truly loved every moment of the day, I think I had the most fun photographing the dancing.
Mitch and Mallory were so relaxed and happy and ALL their friends really know how to do a dance party. They would have danced all night if the venue didn’t cut them off at 10. Everyone loved celebrating on this joyful day!
This cute couple went for something totally different and re-enacted a 1950s scene for their vintage style love shoot. Infusing old-fashioned values, retro country decor and total adoration for each other, they bring to life an era that once was (complete with single beds!) And we totally LOVE that! Jessie Felix snapped up all the fun and we are so thankful she did!
This wedding is all about joy – and what is more perfect than the sunflower to represent joy at your wedding! With the gorgeous La Massaria at Bella Vista as their venue, warm rustic undertones and plenty of happy pops of yellow, you want to join right in with the celebrations. And when you have happy snaps captured by Ashley Gerrity Photography, you can bet your bottom dollar those wedding-bells are brought to life in the form of beautifully photographed pictures.
