A Bride on Horseback and her Rustic Ranch Wedding

There is something so natural and organic about this rustic ranch wedding sent to us by Amber Davis Photography. I’m guessing it’s got something to do with the stunning country scenery or the amazing rustic decor and pretty pastel flowers which complement the natural scenery so effortlessly. Then again, it could be the homemade honey favors made by the bride’s family farm or the awesome burlap Toms the bride chose to wear as her wedding shoes. What if it is purely the fact the beautiful bride arrived on horseback, turning this gorgeous wedding into one truly breathtaking country wedding with a romantic vibe. But who I am to decide? I’m going to leave the choice of which fabulous element makes this event totally memorable up to you all you lovely readers. Scroll through all the beautiful images below and then let me know what you decide!

Verandas Manhattan Beach Wedding by Figlewicz Photography

I’m absolutely besotted with this stunning wedding at Verandas in Manhattan Beach California. There are so many gorgeous details to love, I’m not quite sure where to start? But I promise, I’ll do my best. First up, there’s the beautiful bride glowing from tip to toe. Her handsome groom who just happens to be a fireman (who doesn’t love a fireman?). A refreshing color palette of purple, green and yellow tastefully used throughout, and the prettiest floral decorations turning the outdoor ceremony into a blooming paradise. Then, to add just the right amount of whimsy, there’s a fun array of photo props, and a unique ice cream cookie sandwich to replace the traditional wedding cake! Love, love, love! Figlewicz Photography did the perfect job of capturing all the elements of this outdoor beauty and we couldn’t be more thrilled they chose to share it with us. So take 5, settle in, and lap up all the loveliness for as long as you can.

We asked beautiful bride Bayley to share the details:

Location: James is a Manhattan Beach fireman and we wanted to keep the wedding location in Manhattan so the guys on duty could still come to the wedding. We looked around online and I saw my first picture of the Verandas, looking down the staircase outside in the courtyard, and I never looked back.

Color Palette: James and I love to hangout with our friends and family and wanted our wedding to be fun with plenty of dancing. I was not very particular in my planning, I am very easy going and in looking through a few magazines I saw a color palette of purple, green, and pale yellow and I liked it, so we went from there. I was referred to Commerce Flowers and after meeting with them; we had planned out simple but elegant flowers for the wedding.

Wedding Cake: James and I aren’t fans of wedding cake, but we do love the ice cream cookie sandwiches from a local Manhattan Beach creamery. We were able to get them delivered for dessert and they even made us a giant cookie sandwich to cut as our cake!

Wedding Favors: For wedding favors we decided to make a donation to The Widows, Orphans, and Disabled Fireman’s Fund. We had cards made and I attached them all to a tube of bubbles. These, along with the seating chart boards were my two DIY projects.

Decor: One of my favorite details of the wedding was that my cousin and his friend started their own business turning wine bottles into candles (www.glassed-over.com) and he made candles with labels of pictures from our engagement shoot, for the wedding favors.

Biggest Challenge: I didn’t really come across too many challenges in planning the wedding, which was a relief. I planned so much of the wedding in the first two months we were engaged so it was hard to wait until November!

Favorite Moment: I had so many great moments but one of my favorites was my first look with James before the ceremony. I will never forget standing at the top of the stairs with my dad waiting to walk down the aisle. I loved having my whole family together in one place, James’ parents are from Australia and it was such a great time having them here. We still talk with all of our friends about how much fun we had at the reception. Sharing my vows with James was also very special and important to the both of us.

Congratulations Bayley and James! We just love you and your gorgeous wedding day – and and now that we know you have family ties in Australia we have to love you even more!
