I spent a lot of the planning process browsing wedding websites for inspiration and ended up with a fairly eclectic mix of ideas to make standard elements of the wedding stand out.

I ended up rather enjoying putting everything together (gluing name tags to toothpicks, table numbers to wine bottles etc). I had a ton of help from friends and family and I really appreciated all of their support as we arranged all of the details. I’m not sure if they enjoyed it quite as much as I did, but I like to think it made them feel involved in our wedding. One of my bridesmaids even sewed around 200 programs together with the leafy-patterned stitch setting on her sewing machine (I have no idea how long that must have taken her, but I am ever so grateful!).

We got married when it was absurdly hot (August in Texas!). But the heat, along with the tandem bike, at least gave me an excuse to find a cute getaway dress and more shoes.

Photographer Kimberley shares: Holly + Hao are just the cutest couple and their wedding in Dallas and it was just spectacular! Back in High School and College, Hao persistently and patiently pursued Holly. They met at a church camp and he hung out with her the whole time! Even though Hao tried and tried over and over again to gain Holly’s heart, he was rejected after the first few attempts. But that didn’t stop him from trying harder and thanks to God’s perfect timing, Hao finally caught Holly’s attention one lucky day and asked her out on a date! From then on, it was history. They fell in love and now they are married!
