This, my dears, this is a dream of a chic modern wedding. An unexpected mix of urban meets romantic combines to make the world’s loveliest industrial chic wedding. Think rich hues of luscious deep red, slate gray and crisp white coming to life in a stark, edgy industrial venue that makes the whole enchanting day appear as a work of contemporary art. Chez chic. From the photographer
Drea and her husband, Bradley, went back and forth on what kind of wedding to have. He had visions of having a big wedding, while Drea wanted to keep it small and simple. Their compromise would be that while they would have a bigger wedding than she imagined, she got to hand select each vendor, and was diehard about involving local vendors and supporting mom and pop businesses. Between friends and family that helped this day come into fruition, and the carefully selected vendors that were included in this day, it was “one big labor of love”, as Drea likes to put it. This particular venue, The Icehouse, was especially unique, and not just for it’s urban feel and industrial chic edge. It was originally established in the 20’s as an actual ice house, then later used for as storage used by the police as crime evidence. In the most recent years, it has been renovated into a cultural center, with the central emphasis being devoted to promoting the Arts and humanitarian causes.
