Shabby Chic Monterey Wedding by Jennifer Eileen Photography
This sweet Monterey wedding captured by Jennifer Eileen culminates an eclectic mix of styles into one pretty affair. The lovely bride Aykui gained inspiration from a variety of wedding blogs to create her own individual wedding style which she describes as ‘a little bit shabby chic and a little bit rustic, blended with classic wedding looks.’ Although Aykui hails from from Texas, she decided on a destination wedding in the stunning coastal town of Monterey California. Although she originally wanted a beach ceremony, she soon realized how much it meant to her to get married in a church and went with a beautiful traditional ceremony instead. Their romantic reception was held at the newly restored historic Perry House which was the perfect outdoor venue for their stylish event. Aykui did a phenomenal job of co-ordinating every element of the day and sourced many of the pretty wedding details from several Etsy vendors. With pretty pops of daffodil yellow and aqua sea green this modern wedding is the perfect mix of fresh, fanciful and just plain fabulous.

Wow! My husband and I got married there 6 years ago before the remodel. Such a gorgeous venue, and at the time, quite a bargain though I can’t say now. We had the same colors, too! Gorgeous wedding — may you be as happy as we are!
