When I discovered this delightful San Diego ranch wedding, I just knew I just had to share it with you. Photographed by the incredibly talented Tec Petaja, it is a great example of how two popular themes – vintage and rustic – can combine to make a beautifully unique wedding theme. The entire affair is perfectly infused with vintage touches all styled personally by the beautiful bride Racheal. By the way . . . Racheal has her own wedding and event design business, so if you love what you see (and I know you will), make sure you visit her blog Lace and Likes for more of her lovely work.
The happy couple, Rachael and Noah celebrated their big day at the beautiful Leo Carrillo Ranch in Southern California. Wonderfully landscaped, the ranch offered the perfect backdrop with whitewashed walls, splashes of vibrant turquoise and succulent cacti. At first glance, I immediately imagined just lazing back on the hacienda veranda with a cool margarita in hand watching the sun go down. It’s just like you’ve lost yourself in Californian history with the meandering tree-lined walkways, quaint shingle roofed cottages and wrought iron features, all within a simplistic color palette and exuding fabulous rustic style.
Beautiful bride Rachael (with her amazing green eyes), was a vision in white with a Spanish style wedding gown. With a pretty sweetheart neckline and a full skirt with layer upon layer of tulle, her dress was nothing short of dreamy. It was then topped off with a gorgeous French net veil giving it just the right touch of vintage to balance the look perfectly.
Cheery colorful bridesmaids show how a simple babybreath’s bouquet can add instant pretty and a touch of whimsy to any wedding day.
I also love how Rachael incorporated plenty of little unique touches into the day. The outdoor tables were adorned with a mix match of glassware, twinkling tea-light candles in glass jars (so simple yet so effective), and pretty bunches of assorted blooms all accentuated the casual vintage feel. And to top off the old fashioned charm, jars of preserves made gorgeous favors for all the guests. Make sure you head on over to Tec Petaja’s photography blog to feast your eyes on the rest of this charming affair.
