Vintage Save The Dates

When you create save the dates with a vintage theme it sets the tone for your wedding. These inventive vintage save the date cards featured on Elizabeth Anne Designs were created with vintage wall paper and ephemera to create a backdrop for a simple printed calendar highlighting the future wedding date. An assortment of miniature vintage postcards featuring various scenes of the couple’s city were also used to display their wedding website address and wedding date. To complete the whole vintage feel, it was then packaged together with a mini clothes pin – fabulous!  Check out the full DIY project and some cute vintage invitations too.

Vintage Brooch Bouquets

Whimsical Vintage Tablescapes

Little details are extremely effective when creating a vintage mood or theme and that is exactly what this stunning tablescape featured on Once Wed by talented designer La La Laurie had to offer. Bursting with color and full of whimsy, most of the vintage decor was sourced from vintage stores, thrift shops and markets. On display are adorable blue glass tumblers, delicate demi tass cups and saucers and paper wrapped candle holders, making the wedding table oh so quaint and packed with pretty vintage to boot! Plus, she added a gorgeous vintage purse for extra vintage style!

This lovely vintage tablescape is a great example of how to achieve a more sophisticated vintage inspired look. Rather than the expense of antique place settings, the bride made DIY fabric menus and displayed them in antique style picture frames. Each wedding table had it’s own vintage fabric design and the menus were attached to napkins with a pretty ribbon.

DIY Vintage Garlands

Decorating with vintage inspired garlands are a beautiful and extremely effective way to set the mood. Whether you are having a relaxed whimsical soiree or super chic vintage event, you can find a garland to suit. Paper florals, vintage papers and flag bunting add instant whimsy. Gracing many styled events today, is the use of props and furniture from a particular era. You can either hire some great pieces from a prop supplier, or alternatively hunt your local antique and thrift stores for some great bargains.
